Dr. Damon Hoffmann, MPA, DO
Dr. Hoffmann is the newest addition to our group. He is a Pittsburgh native and has a unique experience. He has worked in fields ranging from General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Colon and Rectal Surgery and Surgical Oncology. After working under a renowned Surgical Oncologist in Philadelphia he felt the calling to return to medical school and someday offer the same high quality care as his mentor. His two primary mentors trained in the prestigious Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris where Robotic Prostatectomy was first standardized prior to gaining popularity in the United States.
Dr. Hoffmann is proficient in a wide array of urology services ranging from vasectomy to major reconstructive cancer operations. Dr. Hoffmann strives to push the envelope in expanding indications for Robotic and minimally invasive surgeries as these procedures have a faster recovery, less blood loss and shorter hospital stay. Some of these surgeries include Robotic-Assisted Prostatectomy, Partial or Radical Nephrectomy, Nephroureterectomy, Segmental Ureterectomy, Dismembered Pyeloplasty, Simple Prostatectomy for BPH, Ureteral Reimplantation, Partial Cystectomy/Diverticulectomy, Renal Cyst Decortication and Sacrocolpopexy for Pelvic Organ Prolapse.
